Young children (under age 8) enjoy several reoccurring ABFN activities each month, including Craft Hour, Story Hour, and Community Service Events. Older siblings are always welcome.
ABFN plans several outings each month for the whole family to enjoy! Some events are held on the weekend or in the early evening, convenient for working parents and their children. Events are free or subsidized by ABFN. We always have fun!
Each year, ABFN invites all area families to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Halloween. We provide crafts, entertainment, and fun activities for the kids. We also hold a members-only Summer BBQ at NARA Park. ABFN members attend these events for free.
ABFN hosts several public events throughout the year, including a free Kindergarten Social for all incoming AB kindergarten families, a Kids’ Stuff Tag Sale in the fall, and a New Baby Event to welcome new family members and help parents connect. ABFN also participates in community-wide events throughout the year, such as Fifer’s Day and community service projects.
Mom’s Night Out and Dad’s Night Out events are held monthly, often on a weeknight. We’ve enjoyed art and yoga classes, movies, dinners out, mini-golf, and spa evenings.
Book Group meets monthly to discuss a book we have collectively chosen and read. Genres and themes vary to keep discussions lively. Whether the selections are fabulous or flops, we always have great discussions (and desserts), so please join us!
Our co-ops are groups of working and stay-at-home parents who use a point system to provide childcare for one another. Someone watches your children, and in turn, you watch someone else’s children. And it’s all free!
