Curious about how decisions get made in Acton?

Once a year, at Acton's annual Town Meeting, Acton voters gather to approve (or amend, or deny) proposed bylaws and major budget items. When I went last year, I had a blast hearing impassioned speeches from fellow Actonians about why we should, or shouldn't, pass new zoning laws or approve new budgetary spending. And I got to make my voice heard shouting "yea" or "nay" with my vote!

Most years, there aren't many parents of young children who attend (let's face it, we tend to be pretty busy). That's why ABFN is encouraging you to come to town meeting this year. Let's sit together and the more experienced attendees can help guide the newer folks through the procedures.
