Come join your friends in the woods and participate in a TimberNook Spring ‘Camping’ session! Your children will have the opportunity to use their imagination while pretend camping in the woods. They can pretend to fish, interact with woodland wildlife and cook over a camp fire all while being in the woods in a backyard in Acton!

TimberNook encourages ‘Play with a Purpose.’ Children will explore their likes and dislikes, express their feelings, and challenge higher thinking skills. They will work on fine motor skills while making their tents, gross motor skills while negotiating the uneven terrain of the woods, and cognitive skills as they give life to a camping play scheme. Your children will grow their social skills as they listen to each other’s ideas, request materials and assistance from peers, and negotiate and learn to regulate their emotions. All while simply having fun in the great outdoors!

This program is for ages 18M - 6Y and will be run by Timbernook staff.

Caregivers should bring a camping chair and/or blanket to sit back and relax in while watching the kids play in the woods. Coffee and snacks will be provided!

Have you ever wanted to try flying trapeze?! Come join for a class with other first-time fliers and learn how to climb to the platform (also known as the pedestal board), how to hang by your knees on the trapeze bar, and even how to do a backflip dismount into the net! Students will be fitted with a safety belt and fly with the safety lines attached to their safety belt and the net below them at all times. Students fly one at a time so they have the full attention of their safety lines coach while they are in the air.
